Morning Moment Tea Syrup

Ingredients

  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • ¼ cup loose Morning Moment tea
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract


Directions:

  1. . Boil the water and pour it onto the tea leaves
  2. . Allow to steep for 10 minutes then strain off the tea into a small saucepan
  3. . Add the rest of ingredients except the vanilla
  4. . Bring to the boil and simmer gently uncovered until the liquid has reduced by 1/3 and is syrupy
    Note: The cooking time will depend on the saucepan you use
  5. . Remove from the heat and add the vanilla extract
  6. . Taste - to see if it needs more lemon juice – or sugar
  7. . Cool then refrigerate until ready to use
  8. . Use on fruit, ice cream, yogurt for breakfast or frozen as a popsicle
