Earl Grey Tea Syrup

Ingredients

  • 1 ¼ cups boiling water
  • 2 tablespoons Earl Grey tea leaves (use any of our Earl Grey Teas)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp lemon juice

  1. . Steep the tea in the water for 10 minutes
  2. . Strain the tea into a small saucepan and add sugar
  3. . Bring to boil and simmer gently for 10 minutes and until the sugar has completely dissolved
  4. . Remove from heat and allow to cool – add lemon juice to taste
  5. . Pour the syrup over cut up fruit of choice, allow to macerate for 2 hours – or more.
  6. . May be prepared up to a day in advance

Serving suggestion: Serve over fresh fruit – ice cream or cake or as iced tea sweetener
