Celebration Strawberries

Ingredients

Basic Simple Tea Syrup


Directions:

  1. . Boil the water and pour over the tea
  2. . Set aside for 10 minutes
  3. . Strain –pressing the tea leaves against the strainer to extract the most flavor (you should end up with 1 cup ‘tea’)
  4. . Return the strained tea to the saucepan and add the sugar
  5. . Simmer gently for about 5 minutes
  6. . Remove from heat and allow to cool
  7. . Store in the refrigerator. Will keep for 2 weeks

 

The Strawberries

Ingredients:
  • 1 qt fresh strawberries, wiped clean but NOT washed
  • 8 oz semi sweet chocolate morsels
  • ½ teaspoon coconut oil
  • 1 Tablespoon extra dark chocolate finely chopped
  • *Simple tea syrup using Wedding Imperial Tea


Directions:

  1. . Using a food infuser inject each strawberry with the* Wedding Imperial Simple Syrup
  2. . Set on a kitchen paper lined plate and chill while preparing the chocolate coating
  3. . The kitchen paper will absorb the extra syrup which has oozed from fruit which would ‘discourage’ the chocolate from setting!
  4. . Melt the chocolate morsels together with the coconut oil in the microwave on High for 1 minute
  5. . Allow to stand for 30 seconds then add the extra dark chocolate and stir until smooth
  6. . Dip each infused strawberry in the chocolate and set on a parchment paper lined plate to set
  7. . Chill until ready to eat. Good idea to serve in small paper cases
