Coffee Glazed Nuts

Ingredients

Directions:

To Roast Nuts:
  1. Place nuts on a cookie sheet in a single layer and bake at 350 oven for about 10 minutes
  2. They should be lightly browned, be sure to keep a keen eye on them to ensure they do not get too brown


    The Coffee Glaze:
    1. Preheat oven to 300
    2. Combine the sugar, coffee, water (or choice #2 or #3) cinnamon and salt in a medium size sauce, bring to boil then stir in the nuts
    3. Simmer for about 3 minutes stirring constantly
    4. Turn mixture onto a cookie sheet
    5. Bake for about 15 minutes – stirring at least twice during that time
    6. Remove from heat and allow to cool. Then break up the nuts
    7. Choice #2 Instead of coffee granules and water substitute ¼ cup brewed  coffee.
    8. Choice #3 Instead of coffee granules and water substitute ¼ cup cold brewed coffee
