Coffee Glazed Nuts

Ingredients
- 3 cups toasted pecans
- ½ cup packed dark brown sugar
- 1 Tbs coffee (recommended CC Plaza Blend, Dallas Bold or Italian Roast)
- ¼ cup water
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- Pinch of salt
To Roast Nuts:
- Place nuts on a cookie sheet in a single layer and bake at 350 oven for about 10 minutes
- They should be lightly browned, be sure to keep a keen eye on them to ensure they do not get too brown
The Coffee Glaze: - Preheat oven to 300
- Combine the sugar, coffee, water (or choice #2 or #3) cinnamon and salt in a medium size sauce, bring to boil then stir in the nuts
- Simmer for about 3 minutes stirring constantly
- Turn mixture onto a cookie sheet
- Bake for about 15 minutes – stirring at least twice during that time
- Remove from heat and allow to cool. Then break up the nuts
- Choice #2 Instead of coffee granules and water substitute ¼ cup brewed coffee.
- Choice #3 Instead of coffee granules and water substitute ¼ cup cold brewed coffee
