    • This shiny black and tightly twisted tea is considered one of the finest black teas in the world
    • Hao Ya refers to the high proportion of downy leaf buds or tips used in the tea
    • Unlike many black teas which use larger leaf cultivars, Keemun Hao Ya uses a hybrid that produces very small leaves

    • This tea contains a highly unusual natural component: Myrcene, a natural terpene that provides the tea with a slight note of camphor and smoke
    • The malty, unsweet cocoa notes of this tea made it very popular in the West as soon as the Chinese began manufacturing it (in the 19th century)
