Turkish Coffee


  • 4 Tablespoons finely ground coffee (ask for Turkish grind, which is finer than espresso grind)
  • ½ cup cold water
  • 1 Tablespoon sugar

  • Directions:

  • In a small pan or Ibrik, bring all ingredients to a boil.
  • When the coffee begins to rise in the pan, remove pan from heat, stir contents, and return to the heat source.
  • Repeat the above process three more times.
  • Spoon the foam into 4 small demitasse cups and pour the coffee over the top.
  • Serve immediately
