‘Orange you Glad’ Cookies

Ingredients:
- 8 oz unsalted butter
- ½ cup strong Orange Flower Oolong tea
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 Tablespoon frozen orange juice
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup confectioners sugar
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- ¼ teaspoon orange powdered coloring
Directions:
- . Heat oven to 350
- . Steep the butter in the tea over a very low heat for 20 minutes then strain off the butter and allow to cool
- . Beat it together with the yolk, orange juice, salt, confectioners sugar and flour until fairly stiff. Beat in the orange coloring if desired [available at Cake Carousel]
- . Turn the dough onto a sheet of parchment, press flat and refrigerate for at least an hour
- . Then roll out thin. Best done between 2 sheets of parchment
- . Cut into shapes or rounds, set on parchment lined baking sheet and refrigerate for an hour
- . Bake for about 15 minutes or until the edges start to brown. Allow to cool before serving
- . Note: You can frost or sprinkle with glitter
