Each Spring, Cherry Blossom Festival brings the Japanese outside to socialize and share the sight with friends and family. The French-made cotton towel is absorbent and decorative. Question: do you frame it, or use it?
Product Details: Dimensions: 24" x 31", 100% long fiber cotton. Care: Machine wash with warm water on gentle cycle. Do not use bleach or fabric softener. Wash dark colors separately. Tumble dry on low heat. Remove while still damp.
Fun Fact: The term tea towel originated in England in the early 19th century and was the linen of choice for Victorian ladies. Mariage Freres, the iconic tea company, has been selling tea since the mid-19th Century. The ancient city of Kyoto is located near Uji, the area where tea was first planted in Japan. This region is also the birthplace of matcha and gyokuro.
