    The same tea leaves can be steeped multiple times

    • From the Asatsuyu tea plant and grown in Shizuoka Prefecture.
    • This tea plant is less commonly grown because of it being sensitive to cold weather.
    • Sencha teas are not shade-grown, but this tea has the sweet flavor profile of much more expensive and shade-grown gyokuro tea plants. 
    • Although there are only two varieties of tea:  Camellia Sinensis Sinensis and Camellia Sinensis Assamaica, there are thousands of cultivars.  A cultivar is a tea plant that has changed it's physical and flavor characteristic while adjusting to a specific terroir: soil content, rainfall, humidity, amount of sunlight, temperature, and elevation.
