Simple Syrup Infused with Eros Tea

Ingredients

• 2 cups boiling water
• 4 teaspoon EROS tea leaves
• ½ cup sugar
• Squeeze of lemon

Directions

1. . Make the tea using the boiling water and Mariage Frere Eros tea
2. . Allow to steep for 5 minutes
3. . Then strain off the tea
4. . You should be left with 1½ cups tea
5. . Combine the tea and sugar in small saucepan
6. . Simmer gently uncovered until the liquid is reduced to 1 cup
7. . Cool and add a dash of lemon juice to taste

Serving suggestion: Serve over fresh fruit – ice cream or cake or as iced tea sweetener

NOTE: Syrup may be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks
