Mississippi Fizz Mocktail

Ingredients

  • 1 TBL chilled Savory Celery Simple Syrup
  • 3 oz cold-brewed Ms. Sunshine Yellow Tea
  • 1 oz sparkling water
  • Celery stalk, cherry tomato, and bamboo tooth pick (for garnish)
 

Directions for SAVORY CELERY SIMPLE SYRUP

  1. . Bring 1 cup of water to boil
  2. . Reduce heat to low and add 1/3 cup of white sugar
  3. . Stir until sugar completely dissolves, and remove pan from the heat
  4. . In a separate small pan, add 1 cup of celery and barely cover the celery with water
  5. . Gently simmer the celery until soft (test celery with a knife).
  6. . Drain the water from the celery
  7. . Using a fine sieve and a spoon, press the celery mixture through a fine sieve into the pan with the simple syrup
  8. . Stir the mixture
  9. . Cover Celery Simple Syrup and place in freezer for 15 min and then remove
 

Directions for COLD-BREWING MS. SUNSHINE YELLOW TEA

  1. . In a glass container, add 0.25 oz 7 g of Ms. Sunshine Yellow Tea
  2. . Pour 16 oz of filter water over the tea leaves
  3. . Refrigerate for at least 12-14 hrs
  4. . Pour the tea through a fine sieve to separate the tea from the tea leaves
 

Directions for MOCKTAIL/COCKTAIL

  1. . Add 1 TBL of chilled Celery simple syrup
  2. . Add 3 oz of Cold-Brewed Ms. Sunshine Yellow Tea
  3. . Add 1 oz of sparkling water
  4. . Stir the mixture with a spoon
  5. . Garnish with a celery stalk and a cherry tomato skewered (with a toothpick) through the top of the celery stalk
  6. . NOTE: To turn this mocktail into a cocktail, add 1-2 oz of a semi-dry or semi-sweet Prosecco, your choice
