Since our opening day twelve years ago, The Cultured Cup has been introducing our customers to new and exciting teas, coffee and chocolates from around the world. Our calendar continues that journey with new classes and tastings for your exploration and enjoyment.

To get you started, we have created an introductory class for each of our specialties: tea, coffee and chocolate. Each class will begin with a bit of interesting history and will indicate the major growing regions. You'll meet other foodies and learn about planting, cultivation, harvesting, processing and packaging. After learning about proper storage and various preparation methods, you will taste a sample from each region. See full class listing

T-BAR:
A Social Club Devoted to Friendship and Learning about the World of Tea

For those of you interested in learning more about tea, The Cultured Cup has started a tea club called T-Bar . It's a social club devoted to friendship and learning about the world of tea. T-Bar meets the first Friday of each month - from 6:30-8:30pm. Each session includes:

•  Brief presentation or discussion about a tea-related topic.
•  A tasting of teas from around the world not currently available at The Cultured Cup.

Some members are tea connoisseurs interested in sharing their tea-related experience and knowledge; others are just beginning to enjoy the pleasures of tea. The presentations are prepared by the members, but this is not a requirement for membership. Sessions have included the following topics:

•  Discussion and Tasting of the Five Categories of Tea
•  Azore Island Tea Production and Tea Tasting
•  Chinese Tea Ceremony and Oolong Tasting
•  Yunnan Tea Tasting
•  Tibetan Tea Tasting
•  All about the Tea and Terroir of Darjeeling
•  White Tea Tasting
•  Building Relationships: As Simple as Sharing a Cup of Tea

To increase your knowledge of the world's tea traditions, we have added classes that explore the traditions of France , Mexico , England and Ireland . Each class is conducted by an expert. And after you've explored these fascinating traditions, The Cultured Cup can help you with time-saving preparation essentials and unique serving pieces to create your own beverage tradition!
